Poncho: 2010 is the year of the tiger. Boomer: So? Poncho: So? What if that means that this is the year cats rise up and take over? Boomer: Nah. Last year was the year of the ox and I didn't see any ox taking over anything. Poncho: Yeah, but ox are very unmotivated. Female ox: Well, the whole year went by and you missed it! Male ox: Get off my back, woman!
The words “ox” and “oxen” usually refer to castrated males, but in this case perhaps it was more of a psychological process than a surgical one.
