Pooch Cafe by Paul Gilligan for August 12, 2011
Transcript:
Pops: All cats must be jettisoned into space! They're an evil plague! Poncho: I'm not totally sure that's true! Poncho: When I had my snout caught in a vacuum cleaner, I'm pretty sure one of the cats yanked out the plug! Poncho: And then when we were blindly stepping out a second-story window, a cat pushed out a plank of wood and saved us from falling! Ringo: Snot! That's bogus! Boomer: Yeah, we all totally fell on our heads! Poncho: But that MAY not have been the cat's fault!

When do they all start singing “Kumbaya” and go home?

sorry to say this, but this strip has been going nowhere for a while….and way too many words!

September 7. Whining about it daily isn’t going to make it come any sooner.Mark it on your calendar, go away, and come back then… unless you’re just here to whine.

I’m loving this Paul! Delighted to see some of those little clues that I noticed being wrapped in and revealed. Good stuff!!

Bring back the Goth Dog. (Adnausea or whatever her name was.)

Yeah, I’ve enjoyed this. Storyline always trumps daily one-off jokes.

I’m going step out of the woodwork and side with the naysayers here, I mostly enjoyed Year One until the last month or so where it seems to have completely fallen off the rails. I’m still hoping for some new twist that will make this awesome again. Also I think Poncho’s inner dog is funny.

I am one of those who has enjoyed the wit in this series. There seems to be an impatience about resolution of the current theme. Dare I say that this is a comic strip and not real life? The interactions of the dogs, young and old fogie dogs, is fun, and their dogish problem solving style is funny, too.
