Dog: ....and applying torque to the handle in a clockwise direction works a turning gear....slide. Dog: ....which seems to spin this serrated cutting wheel, here. As near as we can figure, this wheel applies pressure...slide. Dog: ....to the can edge here, somehow magically piercing the surface of the lid, releasing the contents within. Dog: But how...how? The answer has evaded our top canine brains for ages. It's a mystery we may never solve. Dog: Yes? Poncho: If we can figure out how an overhead projector works, shouldn't we be able to figure out how a can opener works? Dog: All right, sit down. Sit down.
OK, two things. First, that isn’t a serrated cutting wheel, it’s a smooth cutting wheel. And that isn’t an overhead projector, it’s a slide projector. You’d think dogs that can build a working (?) catapult would be more technologically literate!
