Poncho: How come the cats don't get chewed out for wrecking things with their claws? Chazz: Because chewing them out doesn't do anything, they just ignore you. Poncho: Bing! Carmen: What the heck was that giant beacon of light?? Chazz: Oh, that was just me, blowing it yet again.
But dogs have a better defense against being fussed at – the “poor poor pitiful me” look that breaks your heart. My dog had that down to a T – I still feel guilty about times I fussed at him and these were years ago!
