Blue bird: Well, we're all out of food for the winter. Purple Bird: I guess we should have flown south. Blue Bird: Our species normally stick it out here. But this year there's just not enough food. Blue Bird: We can usually count on birdseed that people put in feeders, but this year they're always empty. Somebody else must be beating us to it. Purple Bird: Well, whoever it is, we can console ourselves with the fact that they must need it more than we do.

So, instead of squirrels, greedy little pooches are emptying our bird feeders just to fatten up their pillows? Novel idea, but somehow I don’t buy it. Too much like work for a pampered pooch…

Good reminder – check your bird feeders, folks! This is a very hard winter for birds.

Good afternoon my friends. Excellent comments all. I live in Tennessee and we have Seagulls that hung out at the local malls. They eat whatever food people discard. Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

I add seeds to my bird feeders almost daily. I feel SO good seeing them feed.
