Cards and scarves… bah! Rabbit… gah!

Or maybe Poncho has found a new idol.

This changes everything!

I didn’t understand this one. Is Poncho impressed because the Magician can pull food (rabbit) out of his hat? Or is Poncho scared because he pulled a small furry mammal from his hat, after all Poncho and small furry mammals (i.e. squirrels) don’t get along too well? Or does Poncho think the magician can pull something from his mouth, like maybe Kibble? I just don’t know and I’m so confused. Think I’ll go back to bed.

I think the magician in the first panel is tossing the playing cards he pulled from his hat to the audience and that poncho hopes he does the same thing with the rabbit so he can have a snack!

I think it’s similar to the dogs from “Up.” Squirrel! (Rabbit in this case).

Maybe poncho recognizes the bunny as one of his old pals?
