Calvin and Hobbes I believe once had this discussion until Hobbes cannon balled into the lake. “Brrrrrrr. Maybe you’re right,” he said. “Well, we’ll never know now, will we?!” roared Calvin.

I was going to comment that I thought this was hilarious, but I’ve reconsidered. The fish in the ‘toon might be related to a poster using the name ’tundrasea’ who suggested that I was stupid yesterday, and I wouldn’t want to say anything that ‘tundrasea’ might consider to be STOOPID

Starman: Didn’t get back yesterday, so glad to read you’re doing better. Hpe the rest of the recovery is as great.

Dogs could care less about the temperature of the water. I went to the beach in winter with my dog. It was close to 0 degrees and the crazy pup was still running in and out of the water!

Note to self: Be sure to use the phrase “Sweet Biscuits” as an epitaph sometime today!

On my tombstone I want this epithet-epitaph from R Crumb:

Gilligan used this precise same joke in a 2005 daily strip, the primary difference being “Cripes!” instead of “Sweet Biscuits!” and the fish didn’t show a mouth (like the early goldfish in the bowl).

I love it when he hollers “Sweet Biscuits!” Better that than some of the things that fly out of my mouth! I was brought up better too!
