Poncho: I know another cat impulse we can test to see if I've turned cat! The need to wreck couches! Where's your couch? PooPoo: No way! You're not ruining my master's couch! Poncho: Come on, Poo Poo! We've got to believe I'm still dog enough to not crave the wanton destruction of couches! But how are we ever going to know unless I'm put to the test? PooPoo: Sigh, fine. Please, Poncho, please hold that grape juice steady! Poncho: Uh oh, I feel a sneeze coming on.

Am I thinking the juice is going to spill on Poo Poo rather than the couch or floor after Poncho sneezes?

But we have been through this before. We need the elder dog to put the dog back in Poncho.

But that’s not how cats ruin furniture. Stains are from humans (normally husbands). Cats actually mutilate furniture- even with a scratching post right next to it.
