For those that haven’t heard the song “Black Superman”.

    I love the regular strip…

but I like these parodies too.

It’s fun seeing the dogs-eye view for a change.

There have been a lot of them on “Cleo and Company”, on Sherpa, too….

Today a great animated one is being re-run…

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy&uc_full_date=20200306

    (It originally ran in 2015.)

They also do excellent basset-hound-centric parodies and posters of movies and TV shows, sprinkled in.

“Cleo” is one of my favorite strips…. done by two GoComics regulars you may know…

mostly Nighthawks, who used to post some of his early strips on Citizen Dog,

now with help on animations, and her own Tues/Thurs posters,

from StelBel, who you may remember used to put her reworked posters of Poncho and friends in this forum,

Sherpa no longer hosts comments, so we set up a comment forum on “Ballard Street” …

every day, we go to the page for the “Ballard St” strip that ran ten years to the day earlier…. and until you have Cleo bookmarked, there’s almost always a link to it in the comments.

IE, we’re posting today’s"Cleo and Company" comments on March 6th, 2010…..

    Come on by!

This is much more entertaining— and less annoying— than Poncho.

I wonder if there are dogs who are ‘noteworthy’ among other dogs? If there is some pack memory that passes down among wolves? I doubt it, but it would make an interesting story.

Those fights should not be confused with the “Heck On The Deck” from BCN.

Technically, it should be “float like a Papillon.” It’s French for “butterfly.”

Not thrilled but if it ends today after five, I can live with it. Everybody deserves a vacation. I do wish Poncho and the gang would spend more time at the cafe.

And when all of his friends went off to be service dogs in the military, he refused and made millions of $ as a show dog.
