I just went through the “no power, no water” in the last storm we had in No. Ca. - now I have two 5-gallon cans of water set aside for just in case . You can always flush if you can fill the tank (if you have advance notice of a water shutoff, fill the bathtub with cold and use a bucket to fill the toilet tank).
