Every time I hear some thing groan or go bang I wonder who is hitting the house then I realize it is the house settling…still.
my home is over 120 years old.. its not settling … its adjusting.

The kids are grown, but the dogs and cats supply the sound effects
If the window in our bathroom is open just so, there is a howling noise upstairs. We couldn’t figure out what it was…and thought that our house was haunted!
