Are you not familiar with mosquito spray? The new varieties let you thoroughly spray your clothes the night before. Cothes can go through the washer and still repel for up to five washings. Even spraying just before you go out is effective.
Don’t know where they are, but we have the reverse problem here. I live right next door to a park, yet there are never any insects to speak of. This is a problem, because there are not enough pollinators.
