It does make some sense to have security after flights from countries that don’t care much about U.S. safety. But from another part of the U.S.? Overkill.
I don’t get to fly much and would think security checks after you get off the plane would be too much. As to blaming Obama, the Shrub started it all after 9/11. And with any large human endeavor, it grows. Not always the way you want it to grow. And the billions we are spending on Homeland Security is doing very, very little to keep anyone safe.
