If Kevin is saying he is so old that he was born before it was the US he should be covered by Article I. Article II should have covered his presidential run in 2012 as he’d have become a citizen when the Constitution was adopted. Now if he was born in the Mexican Cession lands (Pre-cession) he might hold dual citizenship but should still be OK to be a Senator since the requirements are to be 30 years of age and a citizen for 9 years.

Um. No it doesn’t. Breaking Federal law doesn’t mean you are not a citizen. Where did Carmen get that idea?

Kevin would be breaking the law if he’s a senator but not a citizen. That said, Kevin hasn’t actually said he wasn’t born here.
