Total destruction from Obama Care? I think not..But I did hear of an attempt to provide “relief” from the failed website by removing restrictions on the insurance companies!.Now, Obamacare has been one big piece of corporate welfare for insurance companies in the first place (has anyone heard of insurance companies complaining?)..But if insurance companies can go back to cherry-picking those whom they insure – and – we are still required to participate -.Well, that would be bad news for all!.From the father of a quadriplegic daughter who has been uninsurable for life…
In Pearls is a reader named Earl.Who always begs for the return of the crocodiles..Enough of the dumb bunny..Bring back the prairie dogs!.At least they were entertaining.
fbjsr: You wrote my rebuttal to your first comment for me! Thank you..The magic word here is “pre-existing condition.” My daughter was born with it. And her medical costs have always exceeded my income – even when I was an officer in the U.S. Air Force..Where I was lucky – I was in the armed forces when she was born..If I had not been – I don’t even want to think about that..As for those who complain that tax money may be used to help those in situations like mine – guess what? They already are! In the form of people who take up residence in emergency rooms because they cannot get insurance..We can argue about those who chose not to get insurance. But that is not my point. I’m arguing for the many who have tried and been denied..But that was the issue that Obamacare was trying to rectify in the first place..In fact, this is the great subsidy and corporate welfare that Obamacare handed to the insurance companies: We all must get insured (like car insurance) – and since they couldn’t take away our license to live, all they did was levy a tax on us if we don’t..As for the insurance companies, being “forced” to take anyone, including pre-existing conditions, such as my daughter’s, well, that’s when they pressed Obama for the gracious subsidy of requiring everybody to participate..Which answers your other question: What if only the sick enroll? Answer: Foul! Pay a penalty!.Which eventually, the Supreme Court decided was FAIR!.What I am really asking is this: Regardless of what you may have heard, there really was a need for something like Obamacare!.We were just flightless birds who liked to look underground to think otherwise..And this is a key: When private industry fails to address an issue, or worse, refuses to, like it or not, this is when the government gets involved..Just like policemen. Just like firemen. Just like roads and sidewalks. Just like the military..No insurance companies were taken over by the government..Though, right now, it looks like they are getting the lion’s share of the handouts!.Are we sure that Democrats crafted this legislation?.Oh, yeah. It was modeled after Republican legislation.in Massachusetts!

But the UCA is just the first step. There’s plenty more where that came from. (i.e., Soros, Alinsky, Ayers, etc.)
