I wish I remember who the speaker was I saw on TV recently who pointed out that if a drone strike kills ten innocent bystanders, it’s nothing compared to, say, the fire-bombing of Dresden. Compared to past warfare, drones are almost merciful.
I’m sure the families of those slain love us for our mercy.
