The word “happy” is related to the word “happens” and actually means that good things have happened to you. It’s not really a choice.

Poor ugly. Your nasty stuff reflects your state of mind and it’s not healthy. Your body is all amped up with cortisol and adrenaline. These promote inflammatory responses and a pathway to various disease states. I really and truly feel sad for you. It must be a burden carrying all those nasty thoughts all the time. Try to relax and breathe deeply.

This is not sarcasm, ugly. It’s a real sentiment of mine. Calm your mind. Seek peace and ease. Loving kindness. That’s the aspirational path we all need to walk.

Anger is the way you lose your mind. Shuts down your higher brain functions so you go to screaming, yelling and even violence. Not the way to go. Cool heads yet set on changing things. Why I don’t hate anyone, but I don’t give them a pass either for evil.

Being angry, unforgiving, and vengeful is like taking poison everyday and expecting the other person to die.

Yes, there are idiots and crooks on both sides of the aisle. Ethics seem hard to come by in some government circles. But what that means is we should vote for the candidate we believe has the better morality and ethical behavior. Their conservative or liberal position is much less important than their ethical behavior. If they want to do good for their constituents, they deserve the vote. Someday (maybe?) both candidates in an election will both be ethical and only then does their political persuasion really matter. But no party has a preeminence on smartness, honesty, ethics or anything of the like. It is the individual and their intent for running for office.
