Typical. If the kids would be misbehaving, then it would be “why is Luann not doing anything”, but as the kids are behaving, it is “Luann isn’t doing anything anyway”. Babysitting being one of those jobs that when it has been done really well, an ignorant person can’t tell that anything has been done at all.
That was rather cruel towards Robin and Cameron, if what I remember from my own middle school still holds. And I mean the behaviour of the teacher here.
Isn’t Holly right about the time? Or, I’m a bit hazy on USian customs – is it not allowed for Alix to open her presents before everyone else in the house is awake and in the room? Why not to let Holly to sleep and Alix to open her (Alix’) presents?
Everyone in our family seems to do the same. But then they ask for surprises of theatre ticket / fancy food / etc kind, or like myself stop buying stuff that can wait around September each year. Now just about two more weeks to my birthday, then I am done with getting gifts until next Christmas and can buy what was left over from my list. :D
Does Piro’s thoughts have to make sense? He may think that Bernice is special and so in everything that happens he seeks confirmation of that.
