The first appearance of Wolverine was Hulk #181 (though technically, he had a cameo in #180). That should still worth a lot by collectors even if it’s not in near-mint condition.

Generally speaking, anything from the 80’s and later wouldn’t be worth as much as stuff from before. Unless you find a specific collector willing to pay as much, most retailers will only pay $5-10 for a long box of them.

Looks like Mona just saw a ghost…

My best guess is that they are probably near the Santa Monica beach (almost directly west of Los Angeles proper). And yeah, you don’t really want to go into water there; Mona’s probably not exaggerating much. There’s plenty of other beaches that are good to walk through, but they aren’t always in L.A.

Yo Nippondude, This comic is funny. Yeah, th humor is messed up, but the shock value is part of Lio’s appeal. I’m surprised it’s by the same guy who does Heart of the City. So you are not laughing. That doesn’t mean no one else is. Yes, WWII was bad, horrible. Kamikaze or suicide runs are bad. But we still make jokes of them. We even have jokes about the Vietnam war, despite all its controversy. Heck, we are even seeing some humor based from the Iraq War and 9/11. Is it in bad taste? Maybe. Can it still be funny? Probably. Will some people like it? Most likely.
