    He may have a new Illustrator. I think he has used several over the years to draw the strip, but yes, he writes it.

    New guy here. I don’t think BD was drafted for Vietnam, I think he volunteered. I think he remained an enlisted man during most of his time in the service, active and reserve, and was commissioned in Iraq during his last war.
