I believe that height is recessive in humans. This is why you see short parents with tall children, but almost never see two tall parents with short children
It is also the percentage return on investment. With the first pot you win 100 times your initial investment, the second only twice. The loss is also spread around, you worry much less about losing 1 dollar, than losing 50.
The legroom comment really struck me. It used to be possible to leave the window seat and get into the aisle without the middle passenger or the aisle passenger getting up. This was in coach people, not first class. I like to travel, but flying has now become so unpleasant I wonder if there is some feasible alternative. You used to be able to enjoy your flight, now you just endure it.
Something is done about traffic accidents and their causes. That why deaths are going down despite the fact that number of cars and miles driven are going up.
It’s all about environment. My father was a university lecturer in chemistry so I was, ( and still am ) very intersted in physics. Unfortunately the current environment has no-one interested in the very subjects that are providing them with all the toys they like to use. No hard sciences, no computers, no internet, no cars, no planes etc etc. Almost nothing that differentiates our time from the centuries before would exist; but almost no-one is interested in how these things work. I find it quite sad.
They no longer sell the Murcielago it’s been replaced by the Aventador 0-60 3.0s 217 mph top speed. If you are on a budget get the Huracan 0-60 2.5s 202 mph top speed. The Huracan is lighter, initially quicker, better gas milage and costs about 150K less.
