My wife and I visited the coast of Maine for 2 weeks in Aug. 2012 and LOVED the lobster rolls. Last year was a bumper crop for lobster, so they were around $6.75 to 8 bucks depending upon where we were. The lobster rolls were new to me (we’re from Orygun), so we had one practically every day. Sadly, can’t find them out here (lots of fresh salmon instead).
Flo and Eddie have everything under control when it comes to shyster customers. Good for them!
Sorry, I must be old fashioned (I’m 65), but I just don’t understand why anyone would bother to use Twitter. Who CARES whether you enjoyed your morning latte with whomever and that you’re going to have lunch with so-and-so. Get a life – have a conversation with someone face to face!
I hope Danae’s time in the woods might lead her to listening to and enjoying nature, just as her horse is doing.
There are more important things to do and enjoy in life than spending minutes or hours on a daily basis staring at your “smart” phone, exercising your thumbs about things that are so inconsequential that they’re ridiculous.
That’s my “harumph” and “bah humbug” message of the day and I’m sticking to it!
And check out Eddie and Pauly’s perfect form as they extend out over the tip of his skis on exiting the ski jump. With all that aerodynamic drag, he still got in one heckuva jump!
Well done, Clay. The President’s proposals don’t include ANY actions for taking a law-abiding citizen’s guns. I would hope that the wing-nuts out there that own military-style weapons might voluntarily turn in their weapons because they’re nothing more than killing machines.
In southern Oregon, I’ve ridden my bike to work for 2 1/2 years, rain or shine, snow or sun. Some days it’s easier than others, but it’s fun no matter what the elements might be.
So if all “pols” are as you describe them, when’s the last time you didn’t vote for your city council, county supervisors, state legislators, Congress members or President? If everyone is so incompetent or greedy or whatever, for whom do you vote? Do you have the skills to take on any of these jobs, get elected, and do them well?
No, Ken, I don’t think that’s a baby bump for Alex. More like part of a muffin top of flab that so many gals and guys now carry around their middles. Poor eating habits and lack of exercise.
To Jonesb, well Prez Clinton left GW Bush a surplus – yes a surplus. GWB got us into two wars that were “off books” that have run up something in the neighborhood of 2 trillion dollars of debt. Prez Obama inherited an economic disaster due to problems created by GW Bush’s lax oversight and tax breaks for the wealthy (another trillion in debt over a decade). Not a pretty scenario for any of us.
