Here’s the story of Ray Smith’s proposals: http://www.boredpanda.com/secret-will-you-marry-me-engagement-photos-ray-smith-claire-bramley/.“As for Clair’s response? “I was totally surprised, but in hindsight it’s exactly the kind of thing he does…I said yes straight away, I didn’t need to think about it.””
Actually, goweeder, if you don’t like to read anything factual early in the morning, you can just skip anything educational and then you’ll have more time to read more comics!
I appreciate the info, NeedaChucle; the Ripley’s article was so written so enigmatically for me that until I read the explanation in your comment, I was completely flummoxed as to what Ripley really meant!
I think the fact-checkers might have just made a mistake. .According to a Daily Mail article, “The square loaves resemble the square watermelons that became a novelty must-have item in Japan, selling for $100 each.” But I think that article meant that square watermelon are selling for $100 each in Japan, not that the loaves of bread were selling for $100 each..http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-3142799/Watermelon-toast-bizarre-new-food-trend-Taiwan-hundreds-queuing-day-hands-loaf.html
I found this strip accidentally on the second day it was on GoComics, and that led to a binge read of all the comics on Georgia Dunn`s site!I adore this comic and I`m always disappointed that it doesn`t have a huge following.
I’m in total agreement, mwbarr. This was just what I was saying almost word-for-word to my husband just now.
