Cats scratch in order to sharpen their claws, the only thing clipping their nails does is make it so the damage is lessened until they are sharp again. They also scratch to help clean their nails.

“Readers return daily for this positive slice of life, with universal themes and commonplace situations.”

    Commonplace situations…??

The module can land on the moon because there is no atmosphere, and very weak gravity. Obviously there was atmosphere on Earth 2 so they could breathe. So, the module would have used nearly as much fuel as it took to launch the spacecraft from Earth 1 just to slow down so it could land without burning up, and take that much again to leave E2 because of the gravity. Impossible to do. That being said, this is just a comic strip, and if they can time transport from Earth in the past to Earth in the present, then they can land a luner lander on E1 and E2.

I finally decided what the root problem is with this strip (among others). They must be paying Locher by the hour. Maybe if they only pay him for each story, we could get these to move along a little faster.

Actually, if she’s going to hold the gun that close to her face when she fires, she will probably want to continue keeping her eyes closed.

I’ve never actually seen a 1000 dollar bill, but they must be really heavy. It looks like he had to use both hands to hold it up to give to the kid. Or else he has an extraordinary number of fingers on one hand. And is that someone else who has a hand around his throat in that same panel? I suppose he could be mumbling through his own fingers to disquise his voice so the kid doesn’t recognize him. Of course that would give him two left hands.

Bullet -proof? I wouldn’t think so, more likely very thick glass or plexiglass. Not likely to shatter like that with just an axe blow.

I do wonder, though, how Tracy was able to get the canopy open to get in when the entire plane seems to be suspended from a pole attached to only the canopy.

I guess another question would be where did that axe come from? Fire axe? Not shaped like any fire axe I’ve ever seen in buildings or that we have on our trucks. Actually a fire axe might have done a better job of breaking the canopy out, using the ripper point on the back side of the axe.

With age, they say your short term memory is the first to go. However, you would think that by having the panels in front of you as you draw, you could at least have some consistency during the same day even if you can’t from day to day.

Doesn’t matter whether he can fly or not. Between panel 4 and panel 6 it’s lost half its left wing. I believe the Stuka JU 87 did have a very slight gull wing configuration.

Actually, holding the camera with one hand is not a problem. I do it all the time, especially when shooting on the fly from a car or my Goldwing. However, every camera I have ever operated has the shutter button on the right side. So holding it with his left hand and taking pictures might be a bit of a challenge.
