   First time I had my ears checked, I only lost low sounds. My hubby also mispronounced words: a chimney was a chimly, a sandwich was a sammich and so on, but it was my fault if I said what. The audiologist recommended speech therapy for him. He was not pleased.

   I’m LOVING it all. The dog and I go out a lot and I can watch my hummingbirds and cardinals and other birds through the woods out my back window. Never bored.

   @pchmcat Finally someone who knows what polaris pads are. My Grandma bought them for me all the time. No one knows what they are now-even dentists. I lost my teeth due to an alcoholic father who couldn’t part with his beer money. Then he called me snagglepuss, one of the derogative names he called me. When I started babysitting the neighbor’s kids, I finally got a dentist. Most of the money I made, Dr. Hinkle got. My teeth wouldn’t hold a filling so ended up with dentures in my late twenties.

   I lived in the country. Acorns and black walnuts had nothing on huge sycamore leaves. You wouldn’t believe how they also hurt.
