   I can relate. Working full time and moving. Ick. It is a great time to purge all that stuff that hasn’t been used or opened in years! The military taught me this. :)

   I often do laugh or make dark jokes (more the latter). I blame the Army for “teaching” me that.

   My uncle signed up while his Japanese American family was interned at Minidoka. He passed a few years ago (14 years older than my dad) and we found out that he was one of the first Japanese Americans to become a warrant officer, and that he worked for public affairs as a translator, for both Japanese AND Korean! I asked my cousins about this, and they had no idea what their dad did. He retired in 1984 as a CWO4 (highest rank that he could go back then). He didn’t like to talk about his career. Now that I’m a veteran, I wonder what he did that he didn’t want to talk about. Happy Veterans Day to all my fellow DD 214 Alumni! And thank you for your service!

   @AnneFackler – It all went here to the Mojave Desert. We were in the low 90s, but next week we are back in the lower triple digits. :(

   I can relate. I don’t sleep much anymore. I get at least 3 × 2 hour naps a night. lol
