Because they were bickering about who’s head would be shown from the back, so a compromise had to be made. Cartoon physics and all that.
She’s become more pragmatic. Whatever makes the weekend easier for her, AND keeps the kids from hurting themselves or each other, works.
Has my vote. Vigorous sweeping in celebration.
