I think it’s unfair to say Elly’s enthusiasm is fake. As a mother to a small child, I am giddy with excitement for her. She has no clue what’s going on and probably could care less (yes, she cares a little)… being a parent to a child at Christmas is very exciting :)

we just walked. Everywhere. We did get a bus when we needed to get way out of town and a shuttle from the airport to our hotel near the coliseum.. but in general, walking was completely fine.

those ‘special suits’ keep poop in. They are not absorbant at all. I recall my husband’s face when he watched our daughter pee in our backyard and he said ‘those don’t keep in pee’ and of course, I responded that no, if they were absorbant, they’d just absorb the pool water. He then recalled unhappily the water babies course we’d done with our daughter.

I love dandelions. I also love how the official flower of the military child is the dandelion – based on how they can thrive in so many places and grow wherever they’re planted.

I did not enjoy the food in Paris. Well, I did not enjoy the restaurants. I did like going to a corner patisserie and grabbing a baguette sandwich to eat while walking around looking at the sights. And you could get the BEST desserts at those little shops too. Skip the restaurants. Grab the portable food and walk around.

I thought the premise was that he is a janitor by choice. This comic seems like it’s belittling the very important work that janitors do.
