   Always love when this strip does something to honor animal shelters. Overboard is the only other one that makes that effort, which gains them both my profound respect.

   Really short sighted. Like any place, there are good shelters and not so good shelters. So they ended up shunning all places that give a second chance at life based on a bad experience and supported the puppy mill industry, instead. Let me go out, talk to a firefighter, a police officer, a person in the peace corp, get rubbed the wrong way and decide that everyone in that profession sucks. Lovely.

   Sigh. This was a completely wasted joke. A punchline like “Worth every penny she put into this place” would have made that sight gag work so much better.
