I see the comments about using a public place for a wedding. First, Brad and Toni should be married at a church. Second, many towns have old firehouses that have been converted to restaurants (Hutchinson, Kansas has one like that). That’s where the reception could be. But looks like readers are predicting that “TJ’s Warehouse” will be the place for the reception.
Most of my wife and my best time was to plan our own arrangements 40 and 1/2 years ago. Had to do it on a budget on our low salaries. Been going strong since!
When Brad first started first-aid classes for becoming a firefighter (where he met Toni), TJ accompanied him, but didn’t take it seriously (didn’t follow through with the next class like Brad did). Don’t think TJ is cut out to be a firefighter, doesn’t take life seriously, but a serious career change is in the works.
I see occasional comments about when Greg Evans will retire the strip. Hope it continues, Luann brings back memories of 40 years when I was in high school. And Brad reminds me of being in love and chasing my wife, until she caught me! I was devastated when Bill Watterson retired stopped illustrating “Calvin and Hobbes”. Now I just read the re-runs. My kids bought all of his illustrated books.
If they were hand-holding, their hands would be out of sight, behind the front spectators. We’d just see Brad and Toni’s arms looking like they’re joined at the hands. I guess Greg wanted to show their affection with a line-of-sight!
Two things: My first thought was “Brad, no hand-holding???” Maybe his right hand is touching her arm.
Second thing: During the march of graduates, you usually have photo-takers lined up along the procession. And, when the graduate receives their diploma, the family is standing close to the podium.
A huge wedding on two firefighter’s salaries? Reality will set in with Brad. Frank and Nancy might contribute some, but Toni’s an orphan. So who will be paying for the wedding?
A while back, TJ indicated that their caterer decision is already made. What concoction will he dream up? Everyone will have gastroenteritis after the reception. Brad and Toni will spend their wedding night in the emergency room!
We’ll see how this storyline develops. Locked in a closet, or does Shannon get in trouble? Maybe both. Remember when she disappeared and ended up sleeping in the clothes basket/
We know that Brad and Toni care for Shannon. Remember Halloween? They took her trick-or-treatin so that Jonah could go to a party.
I’m sure Brad and Toni will be adopting Shannon someday after they marry. But will she be abandoned before they marry, or after?
Is this where Johah disappears, leaving Shannon with Toni permanently?
You know that Brad and Toni will eventually be raising her. Better adopt her to keep Jonah from coming back to re-claim her later.
I’m sure that when Toni and Brad eventually marry, that “Grandma” DeGroot and “Aunt” Luann will be babysitting during the honeymoon. Also, when Brad and Toni are working dual shifts.
