What will really be interesting, is to see what they do after a Dem is elected. Will they then try to push the nomination through (fearing a worse nominee from the new president)? That would be incredibly hypocritical, but I guess it wouldn’t surprise me.
I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about. Remember, Bush said – “I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straight forward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul.” So he must be okay.
Obama doesn’t want to go to war. If he did, he would never ask Congress. He knows they won’t authorize it. So now, the Republicans will vote against it (even though they and their military/industrial owners want it). They think it will make the president look bad, even though it’s exactly what he wants.
