   After all of these years, I still miss some Disco music. Not all of it, of course, just some. Listen closely. Great bass lines, chord progressions and reasonable vocal ability.

   I know, I know, not everyone will agree.

   How about the cat in a blender sound of heavy metal? You like that! Go for it.

   How about your achy brakey crap? Please! Give me a break-or two.

   The rap crap that doesn’t even make sense.

   How about Elvis in my parents generation?

   Just goes to show you that all generations have their own music just to show that they are different from their parents musical choices.

   Thanks for the memories, a beautiful Huey can still make me feel a little strange as well even after almost forty years. I still love the distinctive sound.

   Ask your local neighborhood vet what they think.

   We live in the flightpath of Washington National Airport in DC and occasionally get the low flying landing or takeoff while we are trying to have a glass of wine and relax after a hard days work. Not too bad.

   As a bonus, the nearby Davidson Army Airfield also gives us a treat from time to time with choppers, fixed wing and other flying friends flying over at all times of the day or night.

   I expect to see this kind of activity over the weekend. We are having our 30th Anniversary Crab Boil this coming Sunday.

   Our 95 pound and gorgeous GSD, Marie, will hardily and loudly greet about thirty people or so and expect to be presented with a hot dog, hamburger or maybe even some dropped Chesapeake crab for her efforts.

   Thanks Guy, for all of your cartoons. I cant imagine what it must be like to come up with one liners and draw the toons several hundred times a year.

   Went to Ruth’s Chris for my last birthday. It was great, I loved it. I have not been there in years.

   Had a bad experience about ten years ago in one of their restaurants and gave up on them.

   Too bad it is so expensive or I would go more often then once a year.

   Living on SS makes it a special occasion every time.

   We do have a great French restaurant not too far away and we are in the boonies of Northern Virginia. Went there the last time on my giant Lotto winnings of $50.

   If i remember correctly, it was the devil that wanted the man to leave his dog behind and enter his “heaven.” Fortunately for him, the man said if my dog can’t come in, I wont come in either. The man and his dog went on and met the real heaven just down the road and he and his dog went to their joint reward.

   I miss my old war dog Ruger, 77X9 U.S. Army,and all of the beloved GSD’s that have entered my life over the last forty years in his place.

   God bless you Ruger, Shadow I, Shadow II, Amber, Ilsa and the current Shepherd, Marie who at 100 lbs weighs more than all of her predecessors.

   I too, hope that we all meet again wherever it might be.

   I can remember without fail, even after all these years, the lovely latrines at Fort Lewis, Washington. There were about thirty or forty commodes facing each other at an angle with no screens or anything else to ease your discomfort of downloading in public or your colleagues.

   This is the same place where I took my jungle training in the middle of winter with snow on the ground. The instructors said dont worry about it. It will be warm when YOU get there.

   They were right.

   In my bygone music days, I had problems playing in 4/4, 3/4 and other times.

   When I first heard Take Five, a million years ago, I loved it. Still play the CD from time to time.

   The old Sarge who thought, erroneously, that he was the Master of The Telecaster.

   Met a lot of girls tho, married a few. But that was long ago.

   Now married for 37 years to a lovely woman who puts up with me.

    Sorry, but I didn’t see your comments until today May 28th.Yes the old Sarge was in the Army from 1970-72. Drafted at age 26 almost 27 in the last draft. My number was 13.

    I was lucky anyway. I came home.
