   I was physically and emotionally abused to. See my reply to legaleagle. I’ve had to work through it but the only PTSD I’ve suffered is from watching people die in my line of work.

   I agree and was also a victim. My mom spanked when I needed it and with the explanation of what I did and why I was getting it. Also, it was only after numerous verbal warnings and other chances to alter my behavior. My step-dad on the other hand was abusive. There’s a responsible middle ground between permissiveness and abuse.

   You’re right. Except that the flawed variable, the human, isn’t going to always see those boundaries. There’s always at least 2 sides to everything.

   I don’t think some of the women are understanding that. It’s conflicting with “I should be able to do what I want without consequence.”

   You’re right she should be able to dress as scantily clad as she wants with out fear of some guy. But that some guy is the variable. Most will take no for an answer. Some won’t. Why risk it? Men are visually stimulated. They were before the Victorian era and are today. It’s her choice, and possibly her consequence.

    The perfect man for her is probably one that would love her for her position and income, not to be with her. Having the perfect marriage would also involve her to sacrifice some of herself for the better of the relationship. Can she do that?
