These strips ran , I think starting in the ‘60s, and increased exposure from a few Ontario papers, across Canada and the U.S. under thousands of mastheads.Lynn was one of the first cartoonists to introduce a gay character, the friend of her son, and also extended the lifespan of the strip by having a ’second’ family after the first kids had grown.
Agree with @The Star Thrower: Coleman must be running out of money-making schemes for Bucky. The cast of characters he invited into the household was brilliant, although some of them were hard to deal with, like the Cockney cat, whose slang is pretty tough for most who aren’t from London. (Yes, even other Brits have problems with the Cockney argot.)
Sooo, the choice is clear: dogs/ cats or mistletoe. I don’t recall anyone complaining about having to walk her holly, or to change the litter box for the lilies. ;D
Not just Tesla, either. He stole the early silent movie about a moon expedition from the Frenchman who made the mistake of sending TAE copies for distribution. This was ther movie with the rocket sticking out of the man in th e/moon’s eye.
As in Stone Cold?BTW, I like your Zappa album cover!
