   Absolutely.A pretty hard shot to Brad’s self-esteem for sure, will it leave him questioning just what he’s bringing to the marriage? Frankly, according to my _(and only __*my* opinion)_ tally I just don’t see how he’s making it 50/50..By and large disregarding material things, let’s agree on the things that are obvious. Brad brings love,commitment, adoration (the good kind) of Toni. Courage. He has a job and a car. Most importantly, Brad has never shown a propensity for violence, domestic or otherwise.I may have missed a couple of “obvious” traits but that’ll be corrected..Let’s think about things Brad hasn’t clearly demonstrated yet. What might Brad offer to the marriage? Does Brad have better money management skills than Toni? Does Brad bring sustained “daddy skills”? (that would be with Shannon – I’ll be pushin’ up daisies before they have children) Can he be handy with the house? We adult readers will have to consider whether Brad could keep Toni “happily married”. I believe these are issues have not yet been clearly demonstrated. Maybe I’m misinterpreting this but that’ll be corrected..I think there are controversial opinions of traits Brad might not be bringing to carry his 50% of the marriage – I, for one, don’t think Brad ever could possess traits needed for a 50/50 contribution, but that’ll be corrected.

   …“All You NEED is Patience” not Love, huh?“… …”Hmmm, Interesting concept"…

   .I submit that patience is requisite for a marriage but love is not. I put forth the examples of arranged marriages, marriages of convenience, and (ironically because of lack of birth control) and “shotgun marriages”..A good deal of the time these couples meet or exceed national average longevity rates. Same as loving couples. Love may grow in these marriages and that’s a beautiful thing..Based on evidence we Boomers have witnessed in the course of our lifetimes I propose that none of these relationships ‘need’ love, but two folks living together (as most of us know) requires the patience of a grandmother..Carry on.

   “Nancy…”, “Frank…” “…Toni? .She will not have to worry about that until marriage…”.No need for delicacy Levi, excepting our younger readers we know Nancy’s already passed her ‘hot flashes’ stage..Frank? I don’t think he’s leaping for anything anymore..Toni? Sorry, I forgot about that “not until marriage” thing. My bad..Luann? Again, I let that ‘not until married’ thing slip my mind. I am going to preempt your inevitable declaration that Luann must “married AND over 21”..I regret any turbulence I’ve caused by my failure to remember “not until married”. I’ll do my best not to let it happen again..This sure does complicate achieving my Scout badge for “Reality” though – nudge, nudge, wink wink

   When big sis senses it’s time for birth control, how will Toni approach Nancy? No one but Toni could woo Nancy into the pro/con decision talks.

   “I’m thinking either her brother or The Captain would “give her away”, if they still do that sort of thing.”.I think the Cap will give her away. Just can’t tell who the rest of her crew will be. .The only role I can imagine Jonah playing is one that’s readily expendable.Toni knows his degree of flakiness, so they’re not going to give him any part he could walk out on (called for the ‘opportunity of his lifetime’ the night before) and leave them flat..As you alluded to, I think we’re going to be meeting a few of Toni’s friends.

   “…With Luann gone we also won’t get Delta and Bernice in the picture…”.Both ladies are mature, wise, intelligent and loveable. Even if something happened to our ‘silly goose’, Delta and Bernice could support any character.Lord knows if Bernice were suddenly out of the picture we’d have some fans hotter than Texas in August.

    Great, Grand, & Mother. That ring should have a wonderful patina..An arc will take place during a slow week: She’ll inadvertently wear the ring to work, lose it during a blaze and someone good or bad finds the ring. Toni recovers the ring somehow.
