The sound effects are accurate…except for “honk.” I think the driver would be too busy trying to avoid impact to think about hitting the horn (let alone actually performing the act).
Sadly, Ahab has an excellent point. No sport that I know of, heck, no activity of any kind that I know of, is completely without some kind of risk. But this strip hits home in a big way today. A popular 17-year-old boy from one of our local high schools was injured in a football game Friday evening. He died night before last of his injuries. Do we still love football? Yes. Do the kids continue to play? Yes. How do we reconcile the love of the game with the risks of the game, particularly when they affect our young people? I truly don’t know. The chain is an apt metaphor.
