   Firstly, it’s confusing when you accuse someone of using an ad hominem attack IN A STATEMENT THAT ALSO USES AN AD HOMINEM ATTACK (see “loonies”)! Secondly, your original post was also a disparagement. Nowhere did you make it clear that you wanted to debate an issue. Finally, ad hominem is an adjective not a noun. If you’re going to be superior to everyone who thinks differently from you, use terms appropriately. It preserves your image.

   It’s a play on the Stephen King’s novel “IT”. It’s about a shape-shifting clown who lives in the sewer and preys on children. The first child that the clown takes is a boy in a yellow raincoat.

   I think Tacopielvr was just saying that superficial things are just that….superficial.They don’t really speak to the mind that works and heart that beats inside that person.

   Personally, I’ve been burned by too many snap judgments. I’ve found that they too easily demonstrate a narrow mind. And the definition of a narrow mind is one that has atrophied from disuse.
