Wrong, as a white person I believe you’re having a hard time understanding. What the boondocks is a bout is exposing the ignorance of “niggas” and the adult swim cartoon is the same.
Ruckus is nothing but an ignorant black man who hates what he is because he believes that being white will make life better for him. He’s an old man and still thinks himself a slave to his entire situation, having to work so many different jobs just to get by.
If he didnt stay ignorant he may be able to become a lawyer like Tom, but in Tom’s case he also had to live life as someone he’s not and hate what he is in order to get somewhere. Hence the name “Tom” as in “Uncle Tom” it’s a metaphor and the things the put in the strips and the show is meant to be satirical not offensive. Sometimes you have to look passed that in order to understand the moral. If we can make it a joke and laugh at the stupidity of racism, then maybe more people will understand and want to change that.
