All right, seriously, why are they going to try to arrest him NOW, in the middle of a crowded theater, where hostages are plentiful? It would have been more sensible to wait ‘til the show had ended and people were leaving, then catching him as he leaves the theater. If they missed him, well, so what? They’ve got his new face, and he doesn’t exactly blend into a crowd. He’d turn up sooner or later.
I kind of find it hard to credit the original Daddy Warbucks being so willing to spend his money helping other people. He’d have helped them find jobs or something so they could help themselves instead.
As I mentioned yesterday, Geoffrey Holder, the multi-talented actor and dancer who played Punjab in the 1982 Annie movie (as well as Baron Samedi in Live and Let Die, and plugged 7-Up as “the un-cola”), just passed away. Rest in peace.
Honestly surprised no one has yet brought up that Geoffrey Holder, among many other roles Punjab from the ’80s Orphan Annie movie, just passed away. Rest in peace.
If they were smarter, they’d have used paragliders or ultralights or some such thing so they could come in without someone noticing the plane flight at all…
There’s no evidence that isn’t the case, either. To paraphrase Anton Chekhov, if you put a time machine on the mantelpiece in Act 1, you’re going to have to use it by Act 3.
On a related note, I just have to share this.
