That’s one way for them to answer the age-old question “does my butt look big in this?” Incidentally, the answer is always “yes” because if she didn’t think her butt looked big in it, she wouldn’t have to ask.

It’s one of those new intelligent timers which automatically waits just long enough for you to wonder why it hasn’t gone off and stop posing and get halfway to the camera to check on it before it takes the picture.

Not long after the Garfield comic strip first started, the character of Lyman was introduced. He moved in with Jon and Odie was Lyman’s dog. Lyman appeared in quite a few strips but hasn’t been seen in ages, so it appears he’s been quietly dropped from the strip, probably because he’s seen as unnecessary.

Just another day where Garfield has slept and eaten it all.

You know, this ending was so predictable to me that it took me 24 hours and a second reading of the strip before I figured out what the joke was supposed to be. I didn’t even consciously think “of course, Jon gets beaten by a woman” – I just took it as totally predictable, for this strip. How sad.

Nothing new here. Garfield is always giving Jon a snow job.

Cannibals. And they eat the pig-morph humans.
I know they look like pigs, but they’re still all humans, including the non-pig mutated humans consuming them, so it’s cannibalism regardless.
Also a type of racism (look up Fantastic Racism on TVTropes) since the differences between different humanoid animal types are just as superficial as the differences between human races; evidence for the superficiality being that all the different humanoid animal types can inter-breed.

I get the sense that there is a far larger purpose behind Marx’s actions over-all, and part of his seeming craziness is a reaction to the burden of trying to be the “god” of the Endtown reality. And it appears that Aaron Marx promotes freedom of choice, which is comforting.

It’s very difficult to keep secrets from a C-A-T who can S-P-E-L-L.
This little piggy went to market. This little piggy went back home. This little piggy wished for roast beef. This little piggy had none. And this little piggy cried, in her home.
