Donât forget that âdinosaurâ is a term coined in the 1800âs meaning âterrible lizardâ. Compared to âdragonâ as a generic term to describe them prior. Dinosaur has apparently morphed into a overarching term to describe any extinct species known only from fossils. Personally I think the term âdinosaurâ should only apply to those weâre pretty sure are reptilian, as opposed to avian, mammallian or marine, etc.The problem is that evolutionary athiest scientists who donât like the asteroid extinction idea have jumpted on board the idea that dinosaurs are no longer around as theyâve all evolved into birds. Rather ridiculous when you consider how many differences there are between reptiles and birds, not just feather but bone structure and man other details. Theyâd have been better off keeping with the asteroid idea but I guess theyâre trying to stay true to uniformitarianism and away from any possible catastrophe.
