Also part of people’s culture which had nothing to do with what you mentioned, and was seen either as beautiful or higher status. All of these things are depending on how you look at them and where and what they are on the person, and can’t just be seen as black and white and good or bad. Well, some tattoos are black and white :)

I’m 41. Got my first and only tattoo at 33. I wanted one since I was 21 but waited and waited because not only did I want to be sure, but I also wanted to design it myself. Finally it all came together when I found an artist and it was going to be really cheap. I don’t regret it and I still really like it. I’m a professional with a college background and know plenty like that who have piercings and/or tattoos. Thinking of criminals only when referring to these things is very old fashioned and wrong.

But unlike the Americans, the Canadians have not been bullying other nations, including the “less developed next neighbor neighbor to the south”. Which also prevents those nations from further developing.

Never gets cold enough for me in the Bay Area. I’d prefer colder, but then I think of the homeless, and I’m glad it doesn’t get that cold.

Some of the residents too. And the entitled rich kids I went to med school with too, not to mention the professors/doctors.

My students aks me that all the time even if the clock on the wall is working or their computer shows it. When not on the computer, the wall’s clock is always analog, and most can’t read that, sadly. Just as they don’t understand cursive. I tell them, “time for you to get a watch”, and they have said, “that’s such a dad joke”. I’m 41 so I’m there now.

I teach middle school too. The students never carry an umbrella when it rains or wear appropriate clothing. It’s not that they can’t afford it. They also keep their hoodies and sweaters on in 100 degree weather, even walking home in the sun in the middle of the day.

Maybe they need to earn their halos just as they need to earn their wings?

I did. I think more than one. Still don’t care for it at all.

I’m a substitute teacher for grades K-12 and I love it! My students always respond well to me, even the troublemakers. Of course, I don’t have to deal with them on a daily basis, but I do see them again and again, as I return to their classes repeatedly. However, admin and dealing with parents is another story. The superintendent from one of the schools, and the president of the district were fired. They were stealing money as those in charge in the county’s office of education. So far nothing has been done regarding this, unfortunately, and it’ll probably remain that way.
