When Thatcher died, that song sold really well and entered the British charts, where the BBC promptly banned it; not that we have censorship in the UK (oh!, wait a minute we clearly do).
Thatcher taught me how to hate. When she died there was a fear she would be buried at sea which would have made it difficult to build the dancehall over her grave.
A very divisive figure; one of the very few genuine psychopaths to have become PM. Less racist, but more nasty than Churchill.

Not necessarily; the deceased could have been a life peer, so no successor.
Btw, I regard the House of Lords as a big insult to the British people, ditto the monarchy. Look at the dimwit to succeed Brenda; you Americans would never tolerate such a thing in a head of state!

Abstinence?
Get your morality by thinking about what is the right / just / fair thing to do for yourself and others – not what some ‘special’ rule book says. Otherwise you end up following all the other wrong / unjust / unfair rules.
Sorry to be grumpy, but morality needs discussion not ossification.

I just want to say how much I enjoy this comic strip after only knowing about it for the past few months. Lovey stuff.
Finally had to say this after Wally stood up for himself against that twit*, Leon.
*twit is substituting for another more impolite word and maybe one Americans don’t know.

Maybe someone can help here. He did make a wartime film for the US Army on how to behave. This included scenes where he points out the equality of black soldiers with white ones (still in segregated units at that time) and shares a cigarette with a black soldier (how many of the audience fainted at that time). Anyone know the name of the film? I have only seen some extracts.

Trump can work with people? What about the small contractors he has not paid since the 1990s? Do you Americans not have laws about that. Of course, if you ignore the law, that just proves how SMART you are, not how crooked.

Not that it applies to your sorry situation, but faced with two hideous right wing candidates in the Chirac/ Le Pen runoff, the left slogan was ‘Vote for the crook, not the facist’.
Note for the hardcore Trumpites (btw, look up what trump means in Britain – f*rt censored for dency’s sake), Chirac went on to be president of France; that is a country in Europe; Europe can be found by getting a globe and turning it clockwise from a starting position of the Americas.

330 MILLION people and those the best you can come up with? Why not just draw a name from a hat (could end up ruled A. Fedora. I suppose).Could you not all just vote for Rich Hall.
Bad as they are, you still have worse; the Libertarian candidate, who when asked by a journalist, what he would do about Aleppo, replied, “what’s an aleppo?”. Still, if you will insist on a plutocracy …
[Please understand this is gentle ribbing, especially you in the Montana survivalist bunkers.]
Scots see him as the Alex McLeish lookalike.
Trying to give you Americans a reference you won’t get to make up for all the ones the rest of the world doesn’t get, like Michael Hayes or VP to be Pence.
