I grew up with Peter Pan brand. (What? Nobody else here mentioned that brand? Heresy!) Always crunchy for me. Cannot stand smooth. Blecch! Now, I prefer the Hannaford’s brand natural crunchy. Yes, it’s a pain in the wazzo to have to stir it, but it’s worth it to me. And let me end by just saying :P
It does beg the question, though. Whatever DID happen to Bribery’s ring?
