Well done on rescuing your LDL. I’m amazed the number of people who adopt dogs and then return them before giving them a chance to settle and adjust to their new family. Kudos to your for taking the time and giving her the love she needed.
I will truly miss checking in on Little Dog daily, but I am glad he is finally going to be home. This strip helped me deal with the loss of my dog a few years ago and in a way inspired me to rescue the two dogs I now have. It is so beautifully drawn and with such detail. Hopefully it will run in perpetuity on GoComics and I will be there to read and reread every strip. Thank you for this wonderful comic. Best wishes to you and your family and I look forward to the rest of the story and checking in on Facebook for any new adventures.
Jack was absolutely adorable. Also enjoyed seeing him playing with the ball in the pool. He was a lively little guy…I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sure you must miss him dearly. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Thanks for the info. We have an older dog that is also not a great passenger in the car. Tried “Rescue Remedy” from GNC and that helped but will try the ThunderShirt. Nice it has worked for your dog.
I have Schipperkes (double coat) and Furminator works pretty well on them. It’s similar to a rake but the tines are closer together. Does a decent job of getting both layers of fur. Works much better than a standard brush. Good luck!
Sorry for your loss. The only bad thing about having a dog, they just don’t get to stay here long enough.
