Justin Thompson Creator

Hi, thanks for being interested in me. I created MythTickle in 2004, GoComics put me on their site in 2007. I've worked in character licensing since 1999, designing many bed and bath products with everything from Care Bears to Spider-Man. I've written and illustrated many children's books, the most recent is 'If I Gave The World My Blanket', a Peanuts book featuring Linus and published by Simon and Schuster in December of 2021. Before working as a full time illustrator and designer I was an actor and stuntman in the New York area for 12 years, doing some soap opera work, lots of Shakespeare, and got knocked-about in live stunt shows as Batman in the Batman Stunt Show at Six Flags in NJ, and as Robin Hood and other characters jousting on horseback at the New York Renaissance Festival in Tuxedo. I live a quieter and relatively pain-free life now in northern California, and teach cartooning in Tanzania each year with The Mentor Project and REACH Shirati.

You know. It’s in your imagination. It’s what you see when you think about it.

I don’t remember that, but I have no doubt I did it. I often alter details based on reader comments. I usually have more confidence in the readers than I have in myself.

He’s just some French guy, never been in the strip before. From the nose, he may be Cyrano. I dunno. I just drew what I thought would be interesting-looking and the kind of character that would facilitate this idea.

Right on all counts, Durak. It’s for the readers and fans of the strip.

If you’d rather send a check or money order you can send it to me at PO Box 432 Sebastopol, CA 95473 . And the money comes to me in Pay Pal, I think on your end it just comes from your credit card.
