Yeah, I remember when they started investigating a politician for unethical business deals and when they couldn’t find anything there, they kept digging until they prosecuted him for lying about his marital infidelities.
(And I won’t even mention the illegally obtained, inadmissible in any other court, evidence that was crucial to their case.)
This is why our candidate pool is so unappealing — no one with any meat to their message, or truth in their advertising stands a chance against the dirt and fairy-tale brigade. The dirt is so much more “believable”… and the fairy-tales are so much more alluring.
