America wasn’t founded by patriots longing for freedom from unfair taxes and repressive state-defined religions. It was founded by a bunch of disgusting slave owners. And that is ALL you need to know.
ALL history is revisionist. Who’d want to read a book on WWII written before the Russian archives opened up in the 1990s? New info=new histories. Each generation looks at events people, ideas, etc. through their own particular lens (values, current events, etc.). Obviously, facts are relatively static, but interpretations/perspectives and even what facts are used are always in flux.

The Who’s song “Won’t Get Fooled Again” is about revolution, but one that hasn’t happened. It’s kind of a warning for the future…interesting.
