Woman: That fast food joint says they're going to use nothing but cage free chickens to produce their eggs by 2026. Man: 2026. Really. I wonder if they gave the chickens the good news or the bad news first.
…and they’re not going to trim their beaks, nor trim the spurs on the roosters…because chickens are totally loving non-competitive, cute, intelligent animals.
There are a lot of places that produce “cage-free” chickens. These are better off than the ones confined with clipped beaks, but they can still be in overcrowded, stifling quarters. “Free range” chickens are supposed to be kept in barns overnight but allowed to run free during the day.
Cage free chickens. So where do they lay their eggs? Out in the field somewhere? And how does the farmer know the eggs he finds today are anywhere near fresh? I expect an increase in the number of bad eggs.

I don’t care. Food is food and whether it is home on the range or at home in the radar range is of no concern to me…
