52 weekends a years = 104 days, leaving 17-2/3 days.
2 weeks vacation = 14 days, leaving 3-2/3 days.
Most people are sick enough to take off work about 2 days a years, and let’s allow 2/3 of a day for things like dental appointments, car trouble, things like that — leaving 1 day.
Plenty of those at the welfare office, trying to wangle more money, young healthy people who somehow can’t connect with a job. Work is anathema. Practically every business in town has a “WE ARE HIRING” sign. Starting rates & benefits are amazing, but still they are short of workers.
Free groceries at the food bank, free Internet at the library … & somehow, they always have enough cash for smokes, beer, & weed.

I can’t wait for him to finish his sentence. (But I’m afraid I may have to wait a whole year.)

Now that I’m retired I find I’m working EVERY day, there’s always something that needs doing.

8 hours sleep a day = 121-2/3 days, leaving 243-1/3 days.
8 non-working hours = 121-2/3 days, leaving 121-2/3 days.

Yeah … See, it doesn’t work that way, or, we would all do that, and life, as we know it, would grind to a halt, except for one annual event … ;)
